This thematic cycle is organized by the IEA under the auspices of the "Comparative Civilizations and Cultural Identities" research laboratory (Centre de recherche civilisations et identités culturelles comparées - CICC) and the Centre for Legal and Political Philosophy (Centre de philosophie juridique et politique - CPJP) of the University of Cergy Pontoise.

OPEN DATA FOR CULTURAL HERITAGE INFORMATION

This thematic cycle is placed under the auspices of the Research Laboratory in Information Processing and Systems (Équipes Traitement de l’Information et Systèmes - ETIS) of Cergy Pontoise University.

This thematic cycle addresses challenges raised by the emerging field of Open Data in the context of the access to cultural heritage information, and focuses on the following key issues:
– structuring, publishing and sharing Open Data;
– privacy and protection for such data;
– exploiting Open Data resources.

It is intended for researchers and experts on topics related to Open Data management, together with actors involved in digitized cultural heritage, such as cultural data administrators, copyright and data protection specialists, application designers and developers. A series of tutorials and workshops will be co-organized with FORTH (Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas) in 2013.
