The University of Cergy-Pontoise – UCP – is a national university among 17 national universities in the Paris area. The degrees

UCP offers all levels of graduate and post-graduate studies.

It has adopted the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The French higher education is based upon a common architecture called LMD relevant to the number of validated academic years following the baccalaureat, the French secondary school diploma, giving access to institutions of higher education:

  • Baccalaureat + 3 years = Bachelor = 180 ECTS
  • Baccalaureat + 5 years = Master = 300 ECTS
  • Baccalaureat + 8 years = Doctorate degree = PhD
