Our Institute of Political Studies (IEP) - administered jointly by the University of Cergy-Pontoise (UCP) and the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ) - is the 10th IEP to open in France.
These public institutions of higher learning practice selective admissions based on performance in competitive exams and provide excellent course content and teaching.
The curriculum over 5 years stresses the learning of foreign languages, makes english classes available at every stage of a student’s course of study and requires students to spend their third year abroad. Students are given a general background in the social sciences via introductory courses in political science, law, economics, international relations and contemporary history before choosing a specialized subject in their 4th and 5th years.
