CBL Chemical Biology Lab

The CBL (Chemical Biology Lab)

The CBL (Chemical Biology Lab) is a research unit (EA 4505) of the University of Cergy-Pontoise. The lab is located on the Neuville/Oise university site.

The lab is headed by Professor Thierry Brigaud and brings together researchers on the general theme of molecular diagnostics and biomolecules for life sciences, such as peptides, fluoropeptides, carbohydrates, fluorinated compounds…

The specialty of the lab concerns the synthesis, the characterization and the biological evaluation of these biomolecules. The objective of the lab is also the development of new synthetic methods, especially environmentally friendly methodologies.

Under the instigation of Professor Anna Maria Papini (ANR Chair of Excellence 2009), the University of Cergy-Pontoise and the University of Florence (Italy) have signed an agreement joining the CBL (Cergy-Pontoise) and the PeptLab (Florence) laboratories. The objectives of this partnership are to promote the development of research projects, to encourage mobility of PhD students and researchers, to share expertise and to optimize the access to scientific instrumentation.
