UCP visits Novi Sad University (Serbia)

A UCP delegation including Joanna Nowicki (Executive vice-president for international relations, Central Europe) and Laetitia Brancovan (International Relations Adviser) visited Novi Sad University in Serbian on 2nd and 3rd October 2018.

During the visit, the new president of the university, Mr Déjante Jaksic confirmed his willingness to pursue collaboration and discussions with the Human Sciences Department on subjects such as the preparation of the student exchange agreement in Human and Social Sciences and the management of PhD students.

The delegation also met with Pavle Sekerus, Professor in Comparative Literature (in French and Serbian) and Militons Alanovic, Serbian Linguistics professor, vice-dean in charge of the certification of teaching programmes.

Discussions continued on the subject of Masters of Engineering with Professor Pesanibic Dragan, Director of training in Gastronomy, the Mathematics and Natural Science Faculties and Professor Nenad Krstic - francophone, specialist in Traductology.

The CEEVO may be able to set up a grants system. A (political) delegation from the Val d'Oise department (CDVO-CEEVO) will go to Serbia in November to sign an agreement with Novi-Sad.

The signature of the exchange agreement between the UCP and Novi Sad is programmed for November and will be the first step in the development of this cooperation.
